EHHS opened its newest extension to the school on Friday, September 4th. This expansion is the newest project added to the campus since the baseball field’s bathrooms and concession stands. The latest addition is an exterior building for the CTE Department. It will be split between Agriculture and HVAC classes and will give them their own individual shop. Previously, HVAC, Agriculture, and Construction classes all shared the same shop. The construction of the building was funded by the Career Technical Education Innovative School Model (CTE ISM) Grant.

The opening event was attended by several members of the community, including the superintendent and two school board members. Ms. Cayla Moulton, EHHS principal, and Mrs. Jennifer Turpin, the CTE director for Hickman County Schools, each said a few words about the building before the cutting of the ribbon to officially open the facility. Visitors to the Grand Opening enjoyed refreshments as part of the celebration.
