East Hickman Future Farmers of America hosted the Individual Public Speaking Competition at East Hickman High School on January 15, 2026. The schools that participated in this competition were East Hickman, Lawrence County, Loretto, Perry County, Hickman County, and Lewis County. There was five different events in the competition. These events were Prepared Speech, Extemporaneous Speech, Job Interview, Creed, and Bull Pen Challenge, which is like a sales pitch. East Hickman had four participating students: Kenslei McCrory, Prepared Speech; Daniel Carl, Extemporaneous Speech; Kaelyn Osborne,Job Interview; Anna Walters, Creed. East Hickman participant, Anna Walter, placed first in recitation of the FFA Creed. She advanced to Regionals in Eagleville, Tennessee and placed sixth out of fourteen participants.
