On November 11 at East Hickman High School, there was a ceremony to honor the Veterans of the United States. The band and choir performed “America, the Beautiful” as well as the National Anthem and each branch’s anthem while the JROTC conducted a memorial ceremony for those who have fallen. The Junior Reserved Officers Training Corp is sponsored by the U.S. Armed Forces in order to foster leadership, character development, and awareness of rights and priviledges. These members did an excellent job at the ceremony and led the performance by performing the folding of the flag; each fold meant something about the those serving this country.
JROTC members moved seamlessly during their performance to honor the fallen service members which proved how hard they worked on the choreography. This was an emotional time for some of the veterans as they watched the band, choir, and JROTC honor the Veterans of America.
