MLEC Scholarship Winners

Every year the Junior English classes are given the opportunity of a scholarship and trip to Washington D.C. by Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative. The winners are determined through a short story contest. The goal of the stories is to convey information about the electric company through a unique story, setting, and plot but in short form. The Cooperative must be mentioned in the creative narrative.

There are two winner slots available between the boys and girls in the classroom; however, both are awarded the same opportunity and scholarship upon winning. The two who won are Christopher Batson and Mackinzie Cox, and they were awarded a 1,000 dollar scholarship fund.
