East Hickman FCCLA and FBLA Compete in Chattanooga


During the week of April 2 – 4, Mrs. Charlotte Boehms and the members of the Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) took their skills to Chattanooga, Tennessee, to attend the annual State Leadership Conference (SLC). The conference, comprised of leadership workshops and competitive events, is the culmination of an entire year of work put in by members and advisors.

During the 2025 SLC, East Hickman High School FCCLA had three competitors earn medals in their events, senior Alejandro Cristerna earned silver in the Culinary Arts competition, senior Jacob Scheuring earned gold in the Job Interview competition, sophomores Hayleigh Waller and Alexi Roberson earned bronze in Entrepeneurship, sophomore Makayla Cathey earned bronze in Teaching. and junior Aurora Boertman earned silver in the Baking and Pastry competition.

The following week EHHS Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) sponsored by Mrs. Morgan also attended Chattanooga for the annual State Leadership Conference; each member competed but no medals were earned this year.
