February: A Flurry of Hearts, School Spirit, and Snow!

Spirit Week: Anything but a Backpack Day

For one of the Spirit Week days, students had “Bring Anything but a Backpack Day,” and many students enjoyed participating in this day. Some brought in things such as laundry baskets, mini shopping carts, mop buckets, bowls, and even grills! For the Spirit Week a pep rally, a “Boys vs. Girls” theme was held. Many fun games included a scavenger hunt, lip sync, spirit competition, and the balloon popping game.

For Valentine’s Day, FCCLA club members went around and made hearts like the one above and put them everywhere: walls, doors , and staircases! Students could take the hearts off and give them to other students.

And last but not least, students enjoyed a week in February with only one day of school since Hickman County saw snowfall and chilly weather combined. The timing of the snow coincided with an already short holiday week. The students really enjoyed this week off!
