This year, FBLA students participated in the National Leadership Conference (NLC) for the second time. In April 2023, FBLA attended the State Conference in Chattanooga. Tyler Allen, Anna Breece, and Maleah Pinnix competed together in social media strategies and placed 3rd overall. Because of their accomplishments in Chattanooga, they got to travel to Atlanta, Georgia for the NLC during the summer with club sponsor Cindi Morgan.

During their time in Atlanta, they attended many workshops where they learned everything business related. In one of the workshops, they got to create their own K-Pop industry! They learned how to effectively run a business in another country. When asking the three students who attended the NLC what their favorite part was, they all had different answers.

Maleah Pinnix said her favorite part was trading state pins with the other attendants while Tyler Allen loved seeing the sharks at the Georgia Aquarium. Anna Breece enjoyed building her own K-Pop industry.

Although the East Hickman FBLA club didn’t come back with a win, they are still grateful for the experience. In April 2024, FBLA will be back in Chattanooga to hopefully win even more awards.
