BITZ is a driver safety program that targets teen drivers. The program originally started by Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is now being spread to schools all over Tennessee.

Here at East Hickman High multiple clubs have been working on their own projects to spread word of BITZ and the dangers of distracted driving. Recently, there was a Pie Day organized by Mrs. Boehms and culinary students. Paper cars with various driving statistics were hidden around the school for students to find. These cars were to be turned in to Mrs. Boehms in order to receive a delicious mini pie. Coming up there will be a Prom Promise activity held by Mrs. Poth and hopefully a photo booth that encourages driving safely.
