Counselors, Educators, and Administrators Visit a Local Industry

EHHS Counselor Mrs. Jennifer Turpin relates the following information concerning the visit.

Members of the Business Education Council (BEC) visited Agrana on November 14th to learn more about the company and tour the facility.  The council learned about the global operations of Agrana and the manufacturing process at the Hickman County plant. Members also toured the facility, met employees who work at Agrana, and learned about job opportunities and benefits at Agrana.  The purpose of the meeting was to bridge the gap between the school system and local industries (what skills are needed, training, opportunities available, how the school system can help the company, etc.).   Yesterday’s meeting was the first of a series of on-site visits the BEC is planning as employers and educators are brought closer together.  The next visit will be to Accurate Energetic systems at the beginning of the year.
